Cuban President sends a message of condolences for the attacks in Sri Lanka

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz - Canel Bermúdez sent a message of condolences to the President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena, on occasion of attacks occurred last Easter Sunday in several churches and hotels in the country that caused a high number of victims and injuries.

SRI LANKA, March 30, 2019.- During the recently concluded debate of the Parliament, on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Honorable Dinesh Gunawardena, Member of Parliament, Leader of the Mahajana Eksath Peramuna Party (People's United Front) and President of the Association of Friendship Cuba - Sri Lanka, describes as historic the visit to Cuba of Prince Charles of England and his wife, which takes place at a time when still some western countries continue to make efforts to impose new economic sanctions on Cuba.

Ambassador highlights the role of women in Cuban society

SRI LANKA, March 30, 2019. - Invited by the South Asia Policy and Research Institute (SAPRI), the ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, participated in a round table with the Women Local Government Councilors of the District of Vavuniya, Northern Province. This activity is part of the project carried out by SAPRI for the empowerment of women.
