ACN, Havana, July 30, 2021.- Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba, thanked today for the increase in solidarity with the country, amid difficult times. The president, on behalf of Cuba, expressed gratitude and gratitude to the governments and peoples that help the Island.
“Solidarity with Cuba increases in difficult times. Our gratitude is given to the governments and peoples that help us. # ACubaPonleCorazón”, the president tweeted and quoted an article from the Granma newspaper which summarizes the contributions made to Cuba by different governments around the world.
The Cuban newspaper points out that recently the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, announced the shipment of 12 thousand tons of rice to the island and assured that he would accompany the Cuban people side by side, as Cubans dis in previous times.
About 20 tons of humanitarian aid were announced by the Bolivian government, including medical supplies and food, and according to the president of that nation, Luis Arce, the shipment is a gesture of mutual solidarity with Cuba.
Ships of the Mexican navy were sent to Cuba with medicines, food and oxygen by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who stressed that instead of blocking, everyone should help.
In the same way, nations such as Nicaragua, Russia and different civil society organizations in Latin American countries and the European Union did, which have sent contributions of food and medical supplies.
