At Cuban Embassy ​​prominent Nigerian union leader

Nigeria, August 11, 2021.- Comrade Issa Aremu, Director-General of the National Institute for Trade Union Studies (MINILS) "Michael Imoudu" was received at the Cuban Embassy by Comrade Clara Pulido, Ambassador to Nigeria.

MINILS, created in 1990, is in Ilorin, capital of Kwara state. The Institute is an educational center for union leaders. For the first time in history, the Nigerian President has appointed a seasoned union leader to head such an important institution for training union cadres of this African country.

Comrade Issa Aremu was general secretary of textile workers union from where he became the NLC vice president.

The occasion was propitious to share ideas on the solid and historical relations between the respective union movements of Cuba and Nigeria.
