Izmir, Turkey, October 19, 2018. As part of the activities planned to celebrate Cuba's Culture Day in the three main cities of Turkey, around 300 Turkish citizens attended the screening of the documentary "Cubanas, mujeres en revolución ", filmed by the Antillean director María Torrellas. This event was held in a well-known cultural center in the city of Izmir.
At the beginning of the activity, the Cuban Consul in Turkey, Mayvet González Fernández, highlighted the historical role of Cuban women in the struggles for national independence since they began 150 years ago.
