The Hague, February 5, 2019. The Cuban Mission in the Kingdom of the Netherlands hosted this afternoon a group of students and professors from the Medical School of Leiden University (LUMC), who visited Cuba last October as part of the Global Health Cuba program, which is held in our country every year.
During their visit to the Embassy the students shared the results of their research in Cuba. A variety of topics including: treatment to child disability, attention to the mother and the child, education of sexually transmitted diseases as well as conditions affecting the central nervous system were part of their investigations.
Ir was a timely occasion to address Cuba related current topics such as; the upcoming voting of the new Constitution to take place on February 24. The students expressed their interest in knowing the popular consultation process was carried out and the main modifications included in the new Constitution.
During the visit information of interest was shared with the youth including the Cuba Solidarity Brigades organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the peoples.
