The Hague, October 16th. Between October 13 to 19 several Cuban officials and experts in water management is in The Netherlands as part of a work program with their Dutch counterparts sponsored by the Embassy of the Law Countries in Havana.
The delegation is led by Rolando Calzada Cano, Director of Hydraulic Planning at the National Institute of Water Resources (INRH Spanish language acronym), Daykelin León Arias, Melecón Project Director; Yanet Morales Mesa, Projects Specialist at Aguas de La Habana S.A water management company and Luis Fermín Córdova López PhD, Head of the Research Group for Coastal and Marine Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Havana. (CUJAE).
During a full week the Cuban visitors will hold technical meetings with Dutch representatives in the water management field, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the National Water Association, the Risk Reduction Team, leading companies in the sector as well as specialized institutes and agencies. They also visited works where they witness on site engineering solutions tailored to tackle the different challenges related to water management in The Netherlands.
Exchanges and reciprocal visits to both countries have been held at different levels during the last two years, and a series of actions aimed at increasing bilateral cooperation and business ventures have been undertaken.
