A vote on the Constitutional Referendum begins in Zimbabwe, a historic day for Cubans, which will express our revolutionary commitment, the #SiporCuba. The three electoral colleges located in the provinces of Bulawayo, Harare and Mutare opened their doors early, following the stipulations of our Electoral Law.
On the morning of yesterday, February 7th, Carmelina Ramírez Rodríguez presented the Letter Credentials that accredit her as an ambassador of Cuba to the government of the Republic of Mauritius. The Ambassador was received by the acting president of that country, His Excellency Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, at the seat of the government of the capital of that country, Port Louis.
The Honorable Speaker of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Carmelina Ramírez, bearer of a congratulatory message from the President of the ANPP, comrade Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
During the meeting the Ambassador took the opportunity to thank Zimbabwe for its support in the recent United Nations vote against the blockade imposed by the US on Cuba, as well as to inform about the Constitutional Reform process that is taking place in the country.
The Ambassador of Cuba Carmelina Ramirez was received yesterday at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mauritius by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, Honorable Mahen Kumar Seeruttun. The Ambassador went on a courtesy visit to review the state of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Zimbabwe will vote once again against the unjust economic blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba for almost 60 years, in the United Nations as it does every year. This was said by the Director of Multilaterals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe, Ambassador Mr. Vusumuzi Ntonga, in the meeting he held today with the Ambassador of Cuba Carmelina Ramírez.
