Havana, June 5, 2019. The Trump administration’s hostility toward our country seems to have no end. Yesterday the U.S. Treasury Department added to sanctions announced April 17, and the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, the prohibition of "people to people" cultural and educational trips, plus other restrictions on travel and transportation services, remittances, banking, commerce, and telecommunications.
Havana, June 4 ( Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno RodrIguez has denounced on Tuesday that tightening and extraterritorial application of the US economic, financial and commercial blockade is an attack on international law and the sovereignty of States.
Rodriguez posted on Twitter that this policy is the main impediment to our development and a flagrant violation of the human rights of all Cubans.
Washington, Jun 3 (Prensa Latina) Members of Marti Alliance reportedly analyzed on Monday the US aggressive policies against Cuba and Venezuela.
To the debate held yesterday joined representatives of the Foundation for the Normalization of US-Cuba Relations, the Bolivarian Circle of Miami Negra Hipolita, and the Socialist Workers Party.
The rejected Helms-Burton Act, which codifies the US blockade against Cuba, and the activation of its Title III on May 2 were some of the issues exchanged among the participants in the meeting.
Once again, an adverse scenario has been created and again our enemies’ euphoria resurfaces, and they rush to make their dreams of destroying the example of Cuba a reality. This is not the first time, nor the last, that the Cuban Revolution must face challenges and threats. We have faced all dangers and resisted undefeated for 60 years.
For us, as for Venezuela and Nicaragua, it is very clear that the siege is tightening and our people must be alert and prepared to respond to every challenge with unity, strength, optimism, and unwavering confidence in the victory.
