Cuba and Turkey consolidate bilateral relations.

Havana, May 18, 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, held talks in Havana with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in which they analyzed projects to consolidate bilateral relations. In that meeting, Çavuşoğlu sent an invitation to the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, to visit Turkey.

Rodriguez Parrilla said that there is a great historical relationship between both countries and at the same time good potential to strengthen the bond that unites them.

The small children of a group of Cuban residents in Turkey participated enthusiastically in the artistic workshop "Barquito de Papel," held the day before at the Nazim Hikmet Cultural Center of the great Turkish city. As part of an official visit to Turkey, the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales Ayma, gave a conference at the University of Ankara, which was attended by members of the Cuban Embassy, ​​along with representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps, Turkish academics, officials and journalists, among others. Ankara, Turkey, March 19, 2019. The president of DIYANET, the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbas, received the courtesy visit of the Cuban ambassador, Luis Amorós Nuñez, at the headquarters of the state institution rector of religious affairs in the Eurasian country.

Both representatives talked about the economic and cultural relations between the two countries, and agreed on the possibility of extending these links.
