BANGKOK, June 21, 2017.- The Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, was welcomed by the Thai Minister of Commerce, Apiradi Tantraporn, who recalled two visits to Cuba and, in particular, the opportunity in which personally met Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz for whom she had emotional words of admiration.

BANGKOK, June 20, 2017 - The Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, was welcomed today by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, Suvit Maesincee.

In the cordial meeting the good path of bilateral relations was confirmed and the mutual will to continue strengthening them was reiterated, with special mention to the historical significance of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries to be held in May 2018.

The President of the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand, Prof. Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, welcomed the Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, who thanked the expressions of regret of the Thai people and government on the demise on November 25, 2016 of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and conveyed the condolences of the Cuban people and government over the October 13 on the passing away of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).
