Ambassador highlights the role of women in Cuban society

SRI LANKA, March 30, 2019. - Invited by the South Asia Policy and Research Institute (SAPRI), the ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, participated in a round table with the Women Local Government Councilors of the District of Vavuniya, Northern Province. This activity is part of the project carried out by SAPRI for the empowerment of women.

Cuban Ambassador pays courtesy call on the Vice President of Maldives

SRI LANKA, January 23, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, paid a courtesy call on Vice President of the Republic of Maldives, Faisal Naseem, at the President’s Office.

The Vice President welcomed the Ambassador and expressed good wishes from the Government and the people of Maldives to the Government and the people of Cuba.

President of Maldives receives the Cuban Ambassador

MALDIVAS, January 23, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, paid a courtesy call on the President of Maldives, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, the President expressed his sincere gratitude for the assistance Cuba has given to the Maldives, especially in the health sector. He also expressed interest in strengthening relations between the two countries and was interested in increasing scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students to complete their higher education in Cuban institutions.
