Caravan in Cuba thanks solidarity actions with the island worldwide
Havana, March 28, 2021.- Cuban Minister of Foreign Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, participated on Sunday in the caravan against the U.S. economic blockade on Havana's sea front-drive, the Malecon, and thanked the expressions of solidarity with the island received from some 50 cities around the world.
In statements on social media, the minister emphasized the genocidal nature of this economic, commercial, and financial siege that the U.S. government has intensified in the face of the current epidemiological situation generated by COVID-19.
Group "Friends of Cuba-Sri - Lanka" condemns inclusion of Cuba in the list of states sponsor of terrorism
Sri Lanka, February 24, 2021. - "Friends of Cuba - Sri Lanka", a collection of Sri Lankan intellectuals, sent a letter to the United States Ambassador in Colombo, strongly condemning the action of the State Department , to include Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, while joining the progressive forces that demand that this action be immediately reversed.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the grave problems and colossal challenges human kind was already faced with and exposed new threats, including the frailty of health care systems. The promotion, protection and respect of the right to health are particularly relevant in the current context.
President of Sri Lanka receives Ambassador of Cuba
Sri Lanka, February 23, 2021. - His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, received the Cuban Ambassador, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, at the Presidential Secretariat.
Both parties highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as expressed their interest in continuing to strengthen them.
