[Second Announcement] 4th International Conference FOR WORLD BALANCE

Since its start, the José Martí Project has propitiated a large international movement aimed at expanding the legacy of the Apostle and National Hero of Cuba. This has already become evident in the convoking capacity and in the number of activities connected with Martí that take place in the most dissimilar world regions and countries, including the awarding of the José Martí International Prize of UNESCO.

Today, Cuba elects its new president. It attracts considerable attention in the media that the "Castro era" ends, as it is formulated differently.

Cuba has a unique and different democracy than we know from the western classical bourgeois democracy. Of course, it has landed because Cuba is a socialist country! That's why it's annoying - it's manipulative that almost everybody measures Cuba with a bourgeois scale, and often Cuba's democracy is judging because it's not organized like in Denmark or other western countries.

Cuito Cuanavale: 30 years of a decisive battle for Africa

March 23, 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the battle of Cuito Cuanavale, a small town in the Angolan province of Cuando Cubango, 825 kilometers southeast of Luanda, at the confluence of the Cuito and Cuanavale rivers, from which it takes its name.

That remote town became a symbol of resistance and courage, after the victory of the Popular Armed Forces for the Liberation of Angola (FAPLA), together with Cuban, Namibian and South African internationalists, against the army of the opprobrious Apartheid regime.

In Copenhagen, commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Cuito Cuanavale battle

In commemorating the 30th anniversary of Cuito Cuanavale battle, the activist Ann Langwadt  and Danish friends made an exhibition in Casa Latinoamericana in Copenhagen and paid tribute to the Cuban internationalists. Gorm Gunnarsen, boardmember of the organisation Africa Contact, delivered a speech and highlighted the historical meaning of Cuito Cuanavale battle that was decisive to eliminate the apartheid regime. In the same way the Ambassador of Cuba in Denmark, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas, made an intervention and thanked their endeavours to carry out this hommage.

Danish-Cuban Friendship Association reaffirms its support to the lifting of the blockade against Cuba

Copenhagen- Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship in its annual Assembly held on Saturday, March 17, reaffirmed its solidarity with the Cuban people and its support to the struggle to lift the blockade against Cuba, as well as the return of the territory illegally occupied by the United States in Guantánamo Naval Base. Representatives from different branches of the Association, namely Fyn, Aalborg, Aarhus y Kolding, participated in the meeting.
