Governor of Osún State of signs Book of Condolences in Nigeria
Nigeria, December 1, 2016.The Governor of Osún State, Rauff Aregbesola, was received at the Cuban Embassy in Nigeria this morning.
The Governor of Osún State and some members of his government went to sign the Book of condolences due to the death of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
SRI LANKA, December 2, 2016. - Convened by the President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, a solemn gathering took place at the headquarters of the Presidential House, in homage to the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
In his statement, the President highlighted the revolutionary trajectory of Fidel, his firmness in the fight against imperialism and in favor of just causes. He said that since he was young he had admired him and remembered his visit to Cuba in 1978, on the occasion of the Festival of Youth and Students.
On the morning of Friday, December 2, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the Granma Landing, Chargé d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera received at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Monrovia the Vice-President of Liberia, HE Joseph Nyumah Boakai. Accompanied by several ministers and deputy ministers, Mr. Boakai, on behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is fulfilling commitments outside of Liberia, signed the book of condolences opened since last Monday 28 on the death of the eternal leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander Fidel Castro Ruz.
The Association of Cuban Residents "Martyrs of Barbados" signed the Book of Condolences on the death of the Leader of the Cuban Revolution and presented the Ambassador with a statement of solidarity with a touch of special distinction. The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba announce that in occasion of the death of Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, former president of the Councils of State and Ministers and Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, will be organized a special memorial service.
The special memorial service will take place in the St. Alphonsus Church in Good Will at 10:00 am. A Book of Condolences will be open at entrance of the Church.
