Cuba Denounces Tightening of US Blockade at UN

United Nations, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) The United States blockade against Cuba is the most unjust, severe and prolonged system of unilateral sanctions applied against any country, denounced the Cuban Mission to the United Nations this Tuesday.

In a statement, the Cuban diplomatic mission stressed that the blockade is the main obstacle to the development of the Caribbean country, as well as to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals.

The two high-ranking dignitaries discussed late on Monday the completion of the 2nd Cuba-EU Joint Council and the implementation of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement.

Sydney, September 9, 2019: As part of the 14th edition of the Sydney Latin American Film Festival (SLAFF 2019), the Cuban film "Mantis Nest" was presented with two functions.  This fiction feature film directed by Cuban filmmaker Arturo Soto in 2018, managed to capture the attention of the Australian public, as well as a representation of the Cuban community residing in Sydney who did not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy Cuban cinema on this far away land.

Cuban pianist will perform in Jakarta

Jakarta,  September 9th- Cuban pianist Lianne Vega Serrano will offer a concert next September 26th at the Auditorium of the National Library of Indonesia, thanks to an invitation from the Jaya Suprana School of Performance Arts.

The presentation will be dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the visit of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara to Indonesia, which marked the beginning of the process of establishing diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Cuba.
