Vice Prime Minister and Chancellor of Namibia condemns the latest US measures against Cuba.

The Vice Prime Minister of Namibia and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwah, in her second meeting this year with the diplomatic corps, condemned the latest measures taken by the United States government against Cuba, which intensify the Economic, commercial and financial blockade.

Likewise, the senior Namibian leader reiterated her country's support for Venezuela and the causes of the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples.

The meeting was also favourable for the Chancellor to offer her country's positions on other important issues on the international and regional agenda, such as climate change, the restructuring of the UN Security Council, regional integration, the  Agenda 2063 and the political situation in Zimbabwe.

Updates were also provided on the situation in the country and on the next SWAPO congress.

Tribute to Fidel at the ALBA Film Festival in Cairo

The 3rd edition of the ALBA Film Festival was inaugurated at the Al-Alsun Language Faculty of the University of Ain Shams with the screening of the documentary "Moments with Fidel", from the series " Cuba: Paths of Revolution ". Thus tribute was paid to the Leader of the Cuban Revolution within the framework of the commemoration of the first anniversary of his physical disappearance.

De ambassade van Cuba in het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden hield een emotionele avond voor de Dag van de Cubaanse Cultuur samen met het Spaans-Amerikaans Genootschap te Rotterdam (AHA) .

 

De viering begon met een toelichting aan de gasten over de historische oorsprong ​​van 20 oktober als de Dag van de Cubaanse Cultuur en werd voortgezet met een kleurrijke documentaire over de belangrijkste festivals die door heel Cuba gevierd worden.

Port of Spain, November 22nd. – The Cuban delegation of the Central Committee of the CCP, headed by José R. Balaguer Cabrera, member of the Secretariat and Head of the International Relations Department was received by the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Honourable Keith Rowley. Both parties highlighted the good relations between the two governments and parties.

The Trinidadian Prime Minister reiterated his satisfaction for the successful development of bilateral ties and the willingness of his government to strengthen them in different spheres.

Press Release: Cuba holds Conference against Gender Violence.

New York, November 20th, 2017. From November 20th to December 15th, Cuba will hold the Conference against Gender Violence, organized by the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX), together with other Cuban national institutions. The objective of the Conference is to visualize and raise awareness on gender violence, which is a social, public health and human rights problem worldwide.

The Conference will develop a series of activities, including the following courses / workshops:

Kuala Lumpur, November 20- The digital and printed edition of The Malay Mail newspaper published an article about Cuba, based on an interview with the Cuban ambassador by Dato Yew Men Lee, one of its directors and journalist last week.

Issues such as the death of the Commander in Chief, the journey of the Caravan of Freedom in 1959 and 2016 when he was returning to his origins to the Commander in Chief and the futility of the blockade were the issues addressed by the Cuban ambassador.
