On November 30, 2017, the Cuban Ambassador Francisco Fernández, was invited to attend to the Remembrance Day Laying Wreath and Military Parade to remember Barbadian veterans of the two World Wars. An Interdenominational Service was held presided over by Acting Governor General, Sir Philip Greaves, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson and Leader of the Opposition, Mia Mottley, will lay wreaths at the base of the Cenotaph followed by specially invited members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries.
Based on the objectives outlined in the cooperation agreement currently in force between the National Sports Council (NSC) and Cubadeportes S.A., volleyball stands out among sports with increasing results in both sexes.
