Blockade Imposed by the U.S. against Cuba Hinders Development of Chemical Industry

The Hague, October 11, 2016. The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, demanded the immediate and unconditional lifting of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States against Cuba for over 50 years, during his speech at the General Debate of the 83rd Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is in session from October 11 to October 14 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Cuba-Netherlands Platform Demands the End of the U.S. Blockade against Cuba.

Amsterdam, October 4, 2016. Officials of the Diplomatic mission of Cuba to the Kingdom of the Netherlands exchanged with the directives of the solidarity organization Cuba-Netherlands Platform, occasion on which they demanded one more time the end of the blockade that the government of the United States keeps against the Island.

Specialized magazine “Diplomat Magazine” published in its digital edition the article “U.S. Blockade against Cuba, When will it End?” which reviews the suffering of the people of Cuba caused by that policy as well as the millionaire economic losses and human and material damages  registered in its more than 50 years of enforcement.
 

Cuban Delegation to the OPCW Takes Part in NAM Chairmanship Hand Over Ceremony.

The Cuban Delegation to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) took part in the ceremony in which the hand over ceremony of the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, plus China, held in the headquarters of this international organization.
During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran (outgoing) and the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (incoming), and other Ambassadors and officials spoke to the attendees reassuring their commitment to NAM.
