The Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands expresses its appreciation for the Article published in “Manifest” that recognizes how Cuba faces the COVID19 , the Blockade of USA and send medical brigades to needed nations

The Hague, May, 8, 2020. The Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands expresses its gratitude to the Newspaper "Manifest" of the New Communist Party of the Netherlands for the publication of the Article that answers the question: How a small country like Cuba can faces the COVID19 Pandemic, the genocidal blockade imposed by United States and at the same time can extends its solidarity aid sending medical brigades to needed nations?

INFORMATIVE NOTE No 1/2020 OF THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA IN THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS ON COVID-19

Taking into account the epidemiological situation existing in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, due to the expansion of #COVID 19 and as a contribution to the efforts that are being made in the country and in the world to limit its spread, the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, notifies to the public with immediate effect as of March 13, 2020, the following:

1. All consular services in-person are suspended at the Rotterdam Consulate General.

Dutch specialists held a National Symposium on comprehensive care for the elderly in Cuba.

Leiden, February 20, 2020.  At the headquarters of the prestigious Faculty of Medicine of the University of Leiden / LUMC) in the Netherlands, was held  a nationwide scientific event that brought together Dutch specialists on the theme “Care of elderly people in Cuba” as a result of a similar event held at the Havana School of Medicine, Victoria de Girón, last January, in which experts from different fields of knowledge and medical fields of both countries evaluated the experiences and best practices in the care of this sector of population.
