Cuba in Iran

Cuba and Iran work to boost their economic, trade and cooperation relations.

Tehran, May 7 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba, Alexis Bandrich Vega, was received by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Gholam Hossein Shafei. In the fruitful meeting, they reaffirmed the mutual interest in resisting and overcoming the unilateral coercive economic and financial measures imposed by the United States against both countries, whose main victims are the peoples and, within them, the most vulnerable sectors.

Denounce in Iran the resurgence of the United States Blockade against Cuba.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the forum "Unilateralism and International Law in the contemporary world: approaches and challenges" was held, attended by senior government officials and Persian Foreign Ministry , members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tehran, as well as organizations of the Iranian civil society.

Cuba and Iran strengthen ties in the scientific sphere.

Tehran, May 1, 2019. The Director of the Finlay Institute of Vaccines, Dr. Vicente Verez, concluded a successful visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which he held fruitful exchanges with the directors of the Pasteur Institute, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education as well as other members of the Persian scientific community linked to the projects promoted by both nations in this field.

Cuba and Iran expand cooperation relations in the scientific sphere.

Tehran, April 17, 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba in the Islamic Republic of Iran Alexis Bandrich Vega visited the headquarters of the Pasteur Institute in Tehran, on which occasion he had a cordial and fruitful meeting with his director Dr. Alireza Biglari and part of his team. In it, they reviewed the progress of joint projects and verified the wide possibilities and conditions for expanding bilateral collaboration in the medical-scientific field.
