The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, sent a message of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, after learning of the tragedy caused by the fire and subsequent collapse of the emblematic building of the Plasco Trade Center in Tehran.
The Cuban president lamented the death of Iranian citizens, as well as the human and material damage caused by this terrible accident. He also requested to convey his condolences to the relatives of the victims.
Army General Raul Castro Ruz, president of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, sent a message to his counterpart Hassan Rouhani, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to express condolences after the death on January 8th of Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former Iranian president and one of the historic leaders of the 1979’s Islamic Revolution.
In his message, the Cuban dignitary asked to extend his sympathies to the relatives of the late Iranian leader.
Cuban Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada offered a work lunch at his Residence to several Iranian authorities of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education -as counterpart of the Intergovernmental Commission- and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and to review bilateral relations.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rohaní, sent his most sincere congratulations to the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, as well as to the government and to the great people of Cuba, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
In his message, the president of the Persian nation expresses his desire to see the continuity and increasing strengthening of bilateral relations between Cuba and Iran in the light of joint efforts.
