Teheran, November 29, 2017.- The Institute of Strategic Studies of the Middle East, was a worthy venue for the beautiful cultural evening in tribute to the Commander in Chief Fidel, organized by the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association to honor the figure of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, one year after its physical disappearance.
Between October 26th and 29th, Héctor Miranda, vice president of Prensa Latina News Agency, made a work visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the objective of holding meetings with directors of the HISPAN TV News Network.
On the morning of October 28th, a fruitful meeting took place with the Iranian side, chaired by Mr. Ali Ejarehdar, General Director of the HISPAN TV News Agency. During this meeting, both sides reiterated their willingness to strengthen ties and identified areas of cooperation in the short and medium term.
The Cuban Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran and concurrent in the Republic of Iraq, Vladimir González Quesada, said goodbye to the Arab country’s authorities on the occasion of the next end of his mission in Tehran. In this regard, the diplomat sent two letters to the Iraqi President, Mohammad Fuad Masum, and to the Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Al-Eshaiker Al-Jaafari.
The Cuban Embassy in Tehran offered a cocktail on the occasion of the farewell of its Ambassador, Vladimir González Quesada, who returns to Cuba after four years of work in the Persian nation.
The event was attended by executives and officials of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, led by the Deputy Director General for the Americas, Hojatollah Soltaní, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the country and some Iranian friends.
