Solidarity and friendship between communist parties of Cuba and Greece
Athens, July 9. A virtual meeting was held, last July 7 , between the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). Both delegations reaffirmed their permanent friendship, solidarity and support.
The Cuban part was headed by Angel Arzuaga, head of the PCC's International Relations Department, who was accompanied by Ileana Hernández, head of Europe, and Belkys Lay, an official of the mentioned department. On the Greek side, the delegation was chaired by Eliseos Vagenas, head of the Department of International Relations of the KKE, and a member of the CCKKE, which was accompanied by Aris Evangelidis, head of Latin America at the international relations department. The ambassador of Cuba in Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina was also present.
Latin America Day is celebrated at the Greek Chancellery
Athens, July 7. The “Day of Latin America and the Caribbean” was celebrated for the first time in Greece, which was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, with the participation of the Group of Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC) accredited to the Hellenic government based in Athens, which are: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The objective of the event has been to highlight and further strengthen Greece's ties with Latin America and the Caribbean.
The “Raúl Roa García” Honorary Cathedra is inaugurated at ISRI, to study the thoughts of the Chancellor of Dignity.
Havana, July 7, 2021.- The founding ceremony of the “Raúl Roa García” Honorary Cathedra took place this Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during an act chaired by the member of the Political Bureau of the CC-PCC and Minister of Foreign Relations, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and with the presence of the head of the Ideological Department of the CC-PCC, Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, and the rector of the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), Rogelio Sierra Díaz, among other authorities.
This Honorary Cathedra, directed by Raúl Roa Kouri and made up of a group of prestigious collaborators, will pay tribute to the “Chancellor of Dignity”, through the study of the fruitful work and the political-social thought of who is a paradigm for all generations of diplomats of the Revolution.

With his own style that he imposed on his historical allegations in different international forums, such as the difficult days of the attack on Playa Girón and the October Crisis, Raúl Roa García stood out in the trench of revolutionary diplomacy.
During the years when he fought important diplomatic battles against the representatives of US imperialism, he left in suspense those who tried to undermine the sovereignty of Cuba with his eloquent and scathing verb.
