Cuban Ambassador attends tribute to Ghanaian internationalist fighter Captain (ret) Kojo Tsikata
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González attended the tribute organized in Accra, by the Embassy of the Republic of Angola to Captain (r) Kojo Tsikata, and to whom the Angolan Ambassador, Mr. Augusto da Silva Cunha, decorated for his contribution to the liberating national struggle in that Southern African country.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Afufo-Addo and his delegation paid tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, First President of the Republic of Ghana and hero of the struggle for independence in the Park dedicated to the founders of the current African nations at Havana. The President of Ghana during his speech ratified the validity of Dr. Nkrumah's revolutionary legacy.

The General of the Army, Raul Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, received the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. During the cordial meeting, they recalled the historic ties with Africa, and they noted that Ghana was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish diplomatic relations with Cuba, after the triumph of the Revolution. The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, and the Ambassador Napoleon Abdulai.
