In his statement in the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on adequate housing and the Independent Expert on the consequences of the external debt for the full enjoyment of all human rights, in the 37th regular session of the Human Rights Council being held in Geneva, the Permanent Representative of Cuba, Ambassador Pedro L. The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples’ Trade Treaty (#ALBA-TCP) reject the latest sanctions announced by the European Union. These sanctions affect the diplomatic efforts that have been made recently to find the path of dialog and peace among Venezuelans.
ALBA-TCP urges the international community to refrain from exercising coercion in any form against the political independence and territorial integrity of Venezuela. These practices are incompatible with the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
