Cuban Ambassador and the Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Banjul, 28 February 2017.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Honorable A. N. M. Ousainou Darboe, received the ambassador of Cuba, Lazaro Herrera Martinez in February 28 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere both parties exchanged on the state of bilateral relations, the possibilities of expansion to other areas of common interest and willingness to move forward in that sense.

United States has to learn how to behave as Cuba´s neighbor

United States has to learn how to behave as Cuba´s neighbor, without interference in our internal affairs, respecting our sovereignty, renounce to continue organizing actions to try to subvert Cuban political system."

Banjul, October 22, 2016- Members of the Gambia-Cuba Friendship Association and the José Marti Association of Graduands of The Gambia in Cuba, taking part in a meeting at the Cuban embassy in Banjul denounced the persistence and the negative effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the island, despite the huge international repudiation towards this policy and the recognition of the American President that it is a failed policy and therefore , must be lifted.
