Ebrima Sillah, General Director of the Radio and Television Services of The Gambia (GRTS) visited the Cuban Embassy in Banjul, invited by the Cuban ambassador Lazaro Herrera. The visit reciprocated the one paid days before by the Cuban diplomat to GRTS headquarter, in which occasion both held a cordial exchange and the host took the visitor on a tour through the facilities of the channel.

Banjul, April 29, 2018.- In a meeting organized at the embassy of Cuba in Banjul to celebrate the victory of Playa Giron and on the eve of International Workers' Day, the Secretary General of the Gambia National Trade Union Congress, Ebrima Garba Cham, expressed his admiration for the Cuban Revolution and its leaders, describing this process as an example of fidelity to the principles of Marxism-Leninism on the construction of Socialism. Garba Cham sent a greeting to Cuban workers on the eve of May 1st.

H.E. Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia received in audience, at the State House, the Ambassador of Cuba in that country, Lazaro Herrera Martínez. In the opportunity the diplomat of the island conveyed the President greetings of the Cuban Government and people.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, both parties expressed a willingness to strengthen bilateral ties.

The Gambian leader thanked Cuba for its assistance in the health sector, which he considered of vital importance to guarantee medical attention to the population of his country.
