Suva, August 18th. The Ambassador of Cuba in Fiji, Carlos Manuel Rojas Lago participated in a virtual working session convened by the Secretariat of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) to exchange with the Dialogue Partners, role held by the Caribbean country, on the main actions of that Organization and its Members in the face of the impact of the COVID19 pandemic.
Suva, July 30. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez sent a congratulatory message to his counterpart from the Republic of Vanuatu, Tallis Obed Moses, as today marked the 40th anniversary of the independence of that South Pacific island State.
In the letter, President Díaz-Canel reiterated Cuba's will to continue expanding and strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Cuba denounces usurpation of the clinic by putschist
In the afternoon of July 21, the Bolivian de facto authorities publicly informed that the facility known as “Clínica del Colaborador” (Cooperation Workers’ Clinic), which is owned by the Republic of Cuba and had been raided by law enforcement authorities on November 15, 2019, would be fitted out to assist Bolivian COVID-19 patients.
We appreciate the kind invitation conveyed by the People’s Republic of China to exchange on the best experience achieved in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic and the prospects for cooperation during the recovery stage. Havana, July 17, 2020-- This Thursday, in an extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers, the economic-social strategy to boost the economy and face the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 was approved.
At the meeting, the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, made an important speech, which is broadcast on the Round Table program.
