The State Department reports in a statement, the decision of the US Government to reduce the staff of its Embassy in Havana. Cuba considers that this is a hasty decision that will affect bilateral relations.
During the passage of Hurricane Irma over a large part of our country, the provinces most affected were Camagüey, Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus and Villa Clara. Others such as Guantánamo, Holguín, Las Tunas, Cienfuegos, Matanzas, Mayabeque, and La Habana also suffered damage

On the occasion of the 13th Latin American Film Festival in Australia, a selection of 13 films will be presented, including the Cuban film La Bella del Alhambra, which was presented by the First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy Jorge Enrique Trujillo Hernández.
The film was very popular among the Australian public, members of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba and part of the diplomatic corps there.
The Cuban Embassy in Australia, along with members of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association and officials from the Venezuelan Embassy, commemorated the 91st anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
On this occasion the Embassy of Cuba served as a stage for the friends of our Cuban island and Cuban officials, to ratify the struggle of the Cuban people and calling for the lifting of the Blockade.
