The Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase Belize edition has arrived. The National Institute of History and Culture / Nich. The National Library System, the University of Belize and the Embassy of Cuba invite you to the showcase opening night. next March 14, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., in the Jaguar Auditorium at #UB.
The continued cooperation between Belize and Cuba in the health sector was renewed on Wednesday, February 27th, at a signing ceremony in the capital city of Belmopan. The renewal of the agreement is to extend the presence of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Belize that not only benefits Belizeans nationwide but strengthens and develops the health system in Belize. Signing on behalf of the Government of Belize was Minister of Health Honourable Pablo Marin, while Ambassador Lisette Perez signed on behalf of Cuba.

Prime Minister on Official Visit to Cuba
Havana, Cuba. January 16, 2019. The Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize, made his first official visit to the Republic of Cuba.
On January 15th, Prime Minister Barrow was invited by the President of Cuba, His Excellency Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the base of the towering star-shaped monument to Cuba’s national hero, José Martí. This was followed by an inspection of the national guards at the Palace of the Revolution.
