Cuba and Fiji sign Agreement on Visa Exemption

Suva, October 27. Cuba and Fiji signed this Tuesday an Agreement regarding the reciprocal exemption of the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and official passports, in order to facilitate the travel of their citizens and promote bilateral relations and cooperation in different areas.

The Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Fiji, Yogesh Jitendra Karan, and the Cuban Ambassador to this country, Carlos Manuel Rojas Lago, signed the document on behalf of their respective Governments.

Suva, October 10, 2020. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent a congratulatory message to his counterpart from the Republic of Fiji, Major General (Retired) Jioji Konusi Konrote, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the independence of that Pacific Island State.

The Cuban Head of State ratified "the will to expand the ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries".

Suva, October 1, 2020. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Palau, HE Thomas Remengesau Jr, on the occasion of celebrating the 26th anniversary of independence of that Pacific Island State.

Likewise, the Cuban Head of State congratulated the Honorable Kausea Natano, Prime Minister of Tuvalu, a country that commemorates on this date 42 years of its constitution as an independent State.
