TRIBUTE IN PAKISTAN TO THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, FIDEL CASTRO RUZ

Islamabad, January 18, 2017. The Pakistan-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Senate, in coordination with the Cuban Embassy, organized today a commemorative seminar in honor of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The event was chaired by Pakistan Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Group Convener Senator Mushahid Hussain, and Cuban Ambassador Gabriel Tiel Capote, speakers at this memorable commemoration. Representatives of the Pakistani Doctors Graduates in Cuba Association, the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum and several Senators also spoke at the meeting.

THE 58TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRIUMPH OF THE REVOLUTION CELEBRATED IN PAKISTAN

Today’s morning, January 4, 2017, the leadership of the "Pakistan- Cuba Social Forum" headed by its president, Mr. Ramzan Mughal, went to the Cuban Residence to celebrate together the 58th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution. During the activity, the ambassador, Gabriel Tiel Capote, thanked them for their presence and solidarity, while advocating the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. In turn, Mr. Mughal was grateful for the welcome and for having the possibility of celebrating together this new anniversary of the advent of a new era in Cuba.

ON BEHALF OF THE PRIME MINISTER OF PAKISTAN, MINISTER OF DEFENSE SIGNS BOOK OF CONDOLENCES

Minister of water, energy and defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, signed the Book of Condolences on the death of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on behalf of Pakistan's Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. In the text of the message he emphasized "Fidel was the last one of the genuine revolutionaries, who defied to the imperialism in his cusp. ADVISER TO THE PRIME MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS SIGNS BOOK OF CONDOLENCES

The Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Sartaj Aziz, signed the Book of Condolences on the death of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
