Ottawa, November 25, 2021 - The Cuban Embassy in Canada commemorated the 5th anniversary of the death of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, together with members of the solidarity organizations, Ottawa Cuba Connections, the Outaouais-Cuba Friendship Association, the Communist Party of Canada, the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist), Cubans living in Canada and other friends of Cuba.

Petition to the Parliament of Canada (e-3640), to end the U.S. blockade of Cuba.

Ottawa, November 3, 2021- On October 29th, a petition (e-3640) was launched in the Canadian Parliament, whose main objectives are to urge the Government of Canada to request the U.S. to end economic sanctions against Cuba, to cease campaigns of subversion, hostility and aggression against the Caribbean country and to remove Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism arbitrarily drawn up by the U.S. Department of State.

Cuban culture day is celebrated in Canada.

Ottawa, October 27, 2021 - On Wednesday afternoon, the Cuban Embassy in Canada celebrated the Day for Cuban Culture, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Words to Intellectuals, the 120th anniversary of the José Martí National Library of Cuba, the bicentennial of the birth of Francisco Vicente Aguilera and the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet and essayist Cintio Vitier.
