Ottawa, February 28, 2021 - This Sunday, February 28, caravans against the U.S. blockade and in favor of the Cuban family took place in Ottawa and Montreal, organized by Cubans residents in Canada.
The event organized by the association of Cubans residents in the Canadian capital was joined by members of the solidarity group Ottawa Cuba Connections.

Ottawa, February 3, 2021 - On January 31, 2021, Professor Honor Ford-Smith of York University in Ontario, together with Professor Carole Boyce Davies of Cornell University in the United States, nominated the Henry Reeve Cuban Medical Brigade for the Nobel Peace Prize.
This nomination was submitted to the Nobel Committee on behalf of 20 personalities and academics from Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean and Africa, including renowned American political activist Angela Davis, Professor Emerita in the History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies at the University of California; Jamaican Judge, Patrick Lipton Robinson, member of the International Court of Justice; and the Honorable Samiah Nkrumah, daughter of former Ghanaian Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah.
