Solidarity campaign with Cuba is launched in Canada

Ottawa, January 8, 2021 - The Canadian Network on Cuba launched today a fundraising campaign, aimed at sending a donation of medical supplies to Cuba.

In its statement, the organization recognizes the distinguished accomplishments achieved by our country in the healthsector and its medical aid to other countries, even at a time when Cuba is facing a double pandemic: the COVID-19 and the US blockade.

The Mail-Art call is launched to support the Henry Reeve Brigades' nomination for Nobel Peace Prize

Ottawa, January 6, 2021.- The Canadian Nobel Peace Project launched the call for Mail- Art in support of the nomination of the Henry Reeve Brigades for the Nobel Peace Prize 2021, for the commendable work done by Cuban doctors in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic in many countries and on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its creation.

The Nobel Peace Project was founded in 1998 in Nobel, Ontario, by artists Susan Gold and AG Smith and is an international Mail-Art initiative.

Mail-Art is a popular art movement, consisting of sending small-scale works through the postal service, which began in the 1960s and became a global movement that endures in the present time.

Canada’s OWG launches with initial flight to Cuba

The inaugural revenue flight of new Canadian airline OWG has taken off from Toronto’s Pearson International airport, headed to Santa Clara Abel Santamaria airport in Cuba.

The airline is a project of Canadian passenger and freight charter carrier Nolinor Aviation, which announced plans to launch the new brand in July, in the middle of the coronavirus crisis.

Governments of Cuba and Canada willing to deepen bilateral ties

Havana, December 11 (RHC)-- The governments of Cuba and Canada ratified this Friday the willingness to deepen their bilateral ties on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, reported on Twitter about a telephone dialogue held with his Canadian counterpart, François-Philippe Champagne.
