Cuba announces 15th May Day International Brigade activities

THE Cuban government has called on friends around the world to join in celebrating this year’s International Labour Day and 15th May Day International Brigade of Voluntary Work. The event will also be part of celebrating the 61st anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

A new ghost is sweeping the world, says Diaz-Canel

The mast, 17 December 2019. A NEW ghost is sweeping the world, says Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. He warns that neoliberalism promoted in Latin America by the United States made citizens more unequal, poorer, less protected and led them to distrust politicians.

“Cuba alerts, at the same time, that the battle against neoliberalism and imperialism will be tougher, insofar as they have managed to advance unjust free trade agreements with which they have set a dangerous trap as serious as the Free Trade Area of the Americas, which was defeated here, in Argentina, in the unforgettable Mar del Plata Summit in 2005, led by Néstor [Kirchner] and [Hugo] Chávez,” President Diaz-Canel said during a solidarity with Cuba event in Argentina.

Cuba reiterated its commitment to international criminal justice at the 18th Assembly of the States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC)

The Hague, December 4, 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mrs. Soraya Alvarez Núñez, intervened, in her capacity as representative of Observer State of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the ICC in the general debate of the 18th Assembly of its States Parties, which takes place from December 2nd to 7th in The Hague, The Netherlands.
