From Botswana, celebrating 43 years of diplomatic relations.

Cuba congratulates Botswana for the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

There have been unforgettable moments lived since 1977 in the diplomatic, political, cultural and trade unions areas, as well as in the bilateral cooperation developed with success in health, sports and education.

Happy anniversary and success to the governments and peoples of Botswana and Cuba.

From Botswana, homage to Fidel.

Cuban health professionals, members of the friendship and solidarity movement, and diplomatic personnel, paid a humble but heartfelt tribute to Commander in Chief and historic leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro.

This year the venue was the historical monument “The Three Dikgosi”, in Gaborone, considered the most important, emblematic and visited in the country.

Fidel is not dead; he multiplies himself in every revolutionary, in every child, in every poor.

His ideals and dreams of a better world accompany us and escort us along our lives.

Botswana and Cuba discusses about cooperation in sport and culture

Ambassador of Cuba, HE Patricia L. Pego Guerra, paid a Courtesy Call to the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Culture Development of Botswana, Hon. Tumiso Macdonald Rakgare.

They cordially discussed about the opportunities of bilateral cooperation and exchanges in the three areas covered by the Ministry.

They ratified the will of both governments to continue working together.

Particularly in sports, the eyes are focused in the contribution of Cuban coaches to batswana results in Tokyo Olympic Games 2021.

Cuban Ambassador meets Batswana Press

Gaborone, Cuban Ambassador H.E. Patricia L. Pego Guerra welcomes Batswana journalist Ernest Moloi, from newspaper The Botswana Guardian.

In the traditional friendly and respectful environment they exchanged ideas on issues like the current international situation, the bilateral relations between Botswana-Cuba and Covid-19.

Moloi rejected the US blockade against Cuba and applauded the nomination of the Henry Reeve Brigade to the Nobel Peace Prize 2021.
