Nairobi, March 31. As part of his tour for several African countries, the Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, comrade Inés María Chapman Waugh, will arrive in Kenya tonight. She will make a high-level visit to this Eastern African country.
During her stay in Nairobi, the Cuban leader will fulfill an intense work agenda that include meetings with the President of Kenya, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta and with his counterpart the Vice President His Excellency Mr. William Ruto; besides an exchange with members of the Cuban Medical Brigade.
Likewise, the Cuban Vice President will exchange during her visit with the President of the Kenyan Senate, Honorable Kenneth Lusaka and with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Health, Excellencies Monica Juma and Sicily Kariuki, respectively, and will develop other activities.
The visit of the Cuban Vice President is another example of the excellent state of bilateral relations. Last year, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited Havana; the Embassy of Kenya was officially inaugurated in Cuba and 100 Cuban medical specialists traveled to this African nation to provide their services in the 47 counties.
Kenya is the last stop in Africa's journey of Vice President Inés María Chapman. Comrades Armando Vergara Bueno, deputy general director of Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ernesto Gómez Díaz, ambassador to Kenya, are also parts of the official delegation.
