HELLENIC-CUBAN ASSOCIATION OF FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY Bubulinas 28, 106 82 Atenas, Grecia, tel./fax: (+30) 210 8214916 e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org COMPLAINT The Hellenic-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity denounces the recent provocative decision of the United States government that once again includes Cuba in the list of so-called countries that sponsor terrorism. It is one of the last actions of the outgoing president Donald Trump, before leaving his presidential portfolio. However, despite the fact that some try to explain it with the obsessions of the "neoliberal populist" and some time ago "devilishly good" Trump, they fail to hide the truth: Cuba was and continues to be the target of international imperialism. His socialist conquests and achievements disturb the capitalist world. Especially today the superiority of Cuba in the field of health further illustrates the rottenness of capitalism. The comparison of the images reveals the clash of the two worlds: The proud faces of the doctors of the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade on the one hand, the anonymous massive graves in the cradle of the North American metropolis, New York, on the other. The smiles of the demonstrations for May 1 of millions of Cubans every year on the one hand, the Capitol currently under military command on the other. The hugs of the 5 heroic Cuban patriots when, after years of struggle by the Cuban people and international solidarity against their unjust imprisonment, they returned to their families on the one hand, the disgust at the statements of Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosh on the terrorist attacks against Cuba that have had "the warmth and affection" of the United States for the other. It was and continues to be a provocation that the US imperialists give lessons in democracy and freedom. Those who have massacred the whole world and formed all kinds of terrorist groups. Those who unhesitatingly launch imperialist interventions and create military bases in all countries of the world. They will not achieve! Never, even now, will the international solidarity movement lower the fight against the imperialist aggressiveness that exists against Cuba, against the blockade of the United States and the illegal maintenance of the base in Guantánamo. The reintegration of Cuba in the so-called list of countries that sponsor terrorism is another example of its weakness in the face of the dead ends of its rotten exploitative system, another example of the great fear of the imperialists in the face of popular questioning and the strength of the peoples. We will move on! Ever onward to victory!
