Thessaloniki, 14 September. As part of the activities in the framework of the celebration of the 45th Festival of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) in Thessaloniki, the country's second largest city, solidarity with Cuba was present.
The friends of the Cuban Hellenic Association of Friendship and Solidarity in Thessaloniki, led by its President Apostolis Skoufas and its Secretary General Nikos Mottas, had a stand where they promoted solidarity with the brother Caribbean People and explained to the present the effects of the unfair economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
Hundreds of people attended the stand and reaffirmed their support for the Caribbean island.
This activity was part of many more carried out in different cities of Greece, within the framework of the youth festival, in which the 60 years of the Cuban revolution were held and reflected the solidarity support of the Greek people to the Cuban people.
The central activity will be within the actions of the festival in Athens on September 19, at 8pm, with a massive act of support for Cuba in which will take the floor the Cuban Ambassador Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, the president of the Hellenic Cuban Association of Friendship of Athens Nikos Karandreas and the member of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Aris Evangelidis.
It will be one more example of the solidarity of Greek friends with Cuba.
