Wellington, September 30th, 2019 - The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Leader of NZ First, Fletcher Tabuteau received the Cuban ambassador, Mario Alzugaray Rodríguez.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged on the state of bilateral relations and the interest of both nations in promoting greater ties and exchanges in areas of common interest.
The Cuban diplomat emphasized on the effects of the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba, which constitutes an important obstacle to the development of normal trade relations and business between Cuba and New Zealand.
The meeting took place within the framework of the farewell activities of the Cuban diplomat, who culminates his mission after four years of work in the South Pacific nation. (Embacuba NZ)
