A NATIONAL MEETING WITH CUBAN RESIDENTS WAS HELD IN CYPRUS.
Cyprus, Nicosia. - December 18, 2017. The Embassy of Cuba was the headquarters of the National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Cyprus, an activity that brought together a large number of attendees from all over of this island, located on the Mediterranean Sea.
The Cuban ambassador in Cyprus, Omar Leyva gave the welcome speech in which on behalf of the Mission highlighted some current issues of the largest of the Antilles, not to mention the international rejection of the blockade of the United States of America against Cuba, the implementation of the economic model of socialist development, the new immigration measures, among other issues.
The President of the Association of Cuban Residents in Cyprus, Lazaro Yuri Hernandez, welcomed the new comrades who work in the Mission and, on behalf of the Cuban nationals, contributed to a fruitful exchange of ideas on various topics of interest.
Meanwhile, the head of Consular Affairs of the Embassy, Martica Cabrera, introduced the cultural ceremony, where several of the members of the Cuban community showed off their artistic skills and sang various musical themes.
