Ottawa, September 21, 2019.- On Saturday afternoon, Cubans residing in Ottawa, Gatineau and Montreal, celebrated for the second consecutive year the Cuban holiday at the Cuban residence in Canada.
This event was favourable to dialogue on diverse topics of interest for the Cuban residents and to exchange with the members of the associations "Cubans Residing in Ottawa-Gatineau", "We are Cuba", "Cuban Community in Canada" and their relatives.
In her words, the Cuban ambassador to Canada, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, thanked everyone for their presence and exchanged with the attendees about the permanent process of analysis and updating of migration policy and the strengthening of the ties of Cubans residents abroad with their nation. In addition, she commented on national news, especially the effects of the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government against our country, which continues to harm families and the Cuban people.
