Friends of solidarity in Iran say good-bye the Cuban Ambassador

Executives and members of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association (AAIC) and the House of Latin America (HOLA) met at the Residence of Cuba in Tehran to hold a fraternal encounter with the staff of the diplomatic mission of the Island and to say good-bye to the Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada, who finishes his four-year mission in the Persian nation.

In his words, Vladimir thanked the outstanding and meritorious work done during the four years by these two Iranian organizations in order to strengthen the ties between the peoples of Cuba and Iran, which he described as fundamental pillars in the promotion of friendship and solidarity.

HOLA's executive, Hamid Shahrabi, also spoke to thank the support and collaboration shared with the Cuban Embassy during all this time, in which were very significant moments like the death of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. He exemplified that when that unfortunate news was known, the majority of the Iranian people were sensitized and there were dissimilar expressions of solidarity with Cuba and its people.

For his part, the president of the Freindship Association, Hadi Khansari, thanked the joint work deployed with the Cuban diplomatic mission during the period and recalled several of the activities held in this regard. He pointed out that he has been leading the organization for more than a decade and what has always attracted his attention is the unity with which Cuban diplomats and even their people and government act. That makes their revolution victorious and indestructible.

As a conclusion of the evening, the attendees shared a buffet and cut a cake for Ambassador’s farewell, who would also celebrate his birthday the next day.
