Friends of Cuba in Australia support Nobel Peace Prize for Cuban doctors

Canberra, 16 October 2020.- Members of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) from Canberra, joined along with many organisations from different parts of the world, to support the nomination of the Cuban Henry Reeve Medical Brigade to the Nobel Peace Prize 2021.

The friends of Cuba also spoke out against the United States' blockade against Cuba which has intensified even in the midst of the global pandemic caused by COVID-19.

As part of international efforts to contain the new coronavirus, to date, the Henry Reeve Brigade Cuban medical professionals has reached 39 countries with a total of 52 brigades, offering assistance to 528,737 patients and saving 12,285 lives.
