Wellington, December 6th, 2019. Foreign Minister, Winston Peters received a courtesy call from the new Cuban Ambassador, Edgardo Valdés López, at his parliament office.
The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to thank him for New Zealand's support in the United Nations General Assembly for the resolution “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba” while emphasizing in the impact of this policy on the daily life of Cubans and on Cuba's relations with all countries of the world.
For his part, Winston Peters welcomed the Cuban diplomat and offered his support for the successful development of his mission. (Embacuba NZ)
