In this regard, the diplomat emphasized the importance of the upcoming analysis of the impact of the blockade on Cuba at the UN General Assembly, and reaffirmed the confidence that the majority of the international community will maintained its support to the Cuban resolution that demands the lifting of the blockade, which is contrary to international law and violates the human rights of the entire Cuban people.
Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew reaffirmed the traditional position of Ethiopia in support of the Cuban resolution against the blockade at the United Nations, which is consistent with the African Union's stance on this issue and with the historic brotherhood relations between Cuba and Ethiopia.
