First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba meets with Vicetitular of the State Duma

RUSSIA, October 4, 2018.- Just a few hours after his arrival in Moscow, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelino Medina González, met at the headquarters of the State Duma with Iván Ivanovich Melnikov, First Vice President of the Lower House. of the Russian Parliament and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
During the fraternal meeting, both parties analyzed the current state of parliamentary ties between the two countries. The also vice-referent of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation referred to the close bonds of friendship between the CPRF and the PCC, and to the heroic battle of the Cuban people against the criminal blockade of the USA.
For his part, the deputy Foreign Minister Medina thanked on behalf of the people and the Cuban government, the speech of the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, in the 73 period of Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in which he rejected the blockade of the States United against Cuba.
At the end of this meeting, the vice minister was received by the President of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, with whom he held a fraternal meeting and where they noted the magnificent state of relations between the political organizations of both countries.
