Embassy of Cuba received students from the University of Leiden
The Hague, 22 of August 2019.The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Katia Aruca Chaple, received on August 22 a group of students from the University of Leiden, as part of the HOP Introduction Week (Hague Orientation Program).
During the positive meeting an exchange took place on current Cuba topics, as well as Cuban foreign policy, its principles, the values of revolutionary diplomacy and the most outstanding highlights of 2018 including the visit of 33 heads of state to the Caribbean island.
The damages caused by the longstanding and permanent, unilateral and genocidal policy of economic, commercial and financial US blockade against Cuba were also addressed since as well as the recent activation of Title III of the Helms Burton Act a center piece of the above mentioned genocidal policy.
It was a great opportunity to talk about the Solidarity with Cuba Brigades organized annually by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP Spanish language acronym), as well as the wide range of celebrations held in our country in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and the 500th anniversary of the Havana.
