The Cuban Embassy in Ireland expresses deep gratitude for the many messages of congratulations received on the occasion of the 62nd Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.
Members of Parliament, senators, leaders of political parties, personalities, solidarity organizations, trade unions, youth organizations, Irish friends in general and from other nationalities residing in Ireland, have sent us their fraternal solidarity and their good wishes of prosperity for the Cuban people in the New Year.
We are pleased to know that they are preparing various actions to continue the active international campaign to end the criminal economic blockade against Cuba, reinforced at unprecedented levels by the outgoing US government.
We are also pleased with the effort to develop in the course of the new year various projects aimed at deepening the ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries, with special emphasis on the cultural sphere.
Our Irish friends have given special support to the international initiative to favor the nomination of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigades for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021, a movement that is entering its final phase and sure will add new nominations.
The Cuban people is ready to embark on a new year of revolutionary victories, with great challenges in the economic and health spheres, but with the faith in victory inspired by our immortal Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
Many thanks to our fraternal friends.
