Dublin, May 12, 2019. Members of the Cuban community living in Ireland, grouped in the "Ernesto Ché Guevara" Association, met in Dublin with their relatives and staff of the Cuban Embassy to celebrate Mother's Day according to Cuban tradition.
The Cuban Ambassador, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, in a few words of greeting the mothers and the attendees in general mentioned the commemoration in October of the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Ireland, coinciding with the day for Cuban culture, and that for both events it is planned to carry out several activities in which the Embassy hopes to have the enthusiastic participation of the Cuban residents, a proposal that was very well received by those present from several Irish cities.
The Association of Cubans living in Ireland "Ernesto Che Guevara" recently issued a statement expressing its firm condemnation of the most recent actions and threats by the United States government committed to intensify and internationalize the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Cuban people for six decades, as well as against measures that obstruct the normal links between Cuban families living abroad, especially in the United States, and those residing on the island.
The music, the dance, the traditional tropical cocktails and a combination of Cuban gastronomy with other recipes of diverse origins made by the relatives of the Cubans qualified the enthusiasm of the evening, but above all a beautiful atmosphere of fraternization, which despite to hide the sun and the temperature became cooler, the good mood of those present was reluctant to put an end to the afternoon, so that the farewell resulted in a "see you soon."
