Cuban Foreign Ministry’s Director of North Africa and Middle East Division paid a visit to Saudi Arabia

Ambassador Héctor Igarza Cabrera, Director of North Africa and Middle East Division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry paid a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from February 2nd to 5th, 2020, during which he has held different meetings with local dignitaries and officials.

Ambassador Igarza was received at the Saudi MOFA headquarters by Dr. Adel Al-Jubair, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet, to whom he conveyed the greetings from the Cuban leadership to the Saudi authorities; they reviewed as well the successful development of bilateral relations in different fields.

Furthermore, Ambassador Igarza held meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Bin Majed Al-Dosari; Director of South America countries, Ambassador Hussein Al-Assiri; Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Dr. Khalid S. Alkhudairy; Director General of Operations Department, Eng. Faisal M. Al-Kahtani; General Director of recruitments and offices abroad affairs at the Ministry of Health, Othman Ali Al Shihri; and the official in charge of cooperation affairs with Cuba in that ministry, Dr. Mohammed Doghether.

During his stay in Riyadh, Ambassador Igarza was also received by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Nasser Ba’aom; and by Under-Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Mansur Ali Bagash.

All the activities were also attended by Cuban Ambassador to Riyadh, Orlando Requeijo; Counselor Fernando Duque; as well as other Saudi and Yemeni officials.
